Daycare sign-in book: a tablet by the door v0.1.0
Families tap their child's first name and type their initials; the time is stamped. The number of children here, by age group, is always on screen, with your state's center ratios beside it. Print today's attendance or the month's. Free, no account, kept on this device.
How to use it
- Add the children's first names in the daily log or the sign-in sheet once; the book uses the same list.
- Set each child's age group in the daily log, and pick your state here, for the count and the ratio line.
- Leave the tablet by the door: a tap, initials, done.
- Print the day's sheet at closing, and the month's for your files.
Ideas for class
- Use the tablet's guided-access or screen-pinning mode so the book stays on this page.
- A paper sheet beside it is a fine backup on a day the tablet is charging.
- Save the log as a file at the end of each month and keep it with your records.

Questions
Is this a legal sign-in record?
Your state decides what a sign-in record must hold and how long it is kept. The printed sheets have the times and initials most rules ask for; check your state's licensing page, linked on every sheet.
Can two tablets share the book?
No. The book lives on one device and is never sent anywhere, so there is nothing to sync. Use one tablet by the door.
Why initials and not a signature?
Initials are quick and print cleanly. If your state asks for a full signature, print the blank sign-in sheet instead.
Nothing you do here is sent to us. Names, times and initials stay in this browser only. No account, no ads.
