Daycare daily report: the daily log v0.1.0

Tap a child, tap what happened: meals and how much, bottles, naps, diapers and potty, mood, what they did, a short note. The time fills itself. At pick-up, print each child's day for the family, or save it as a PDF and send it yourself. Free, no account, and every word stays on this device.

How to use it

  1. Add the children's first names or initials once (a full name is refused, so a lost tablet never carries one).
  2. Through the day, tap a child, then what happened. Change the time if you're logging it late.
  3. At pick-up, print the child's day for the family, or the whole room's day for your records.
  4. Save the log as a file now and then; it is the only copy, and it is yours.

Ideas for class

  • Keep a tablet or phone on the changing table and one at the lunch table: both write to the same log only if it's the same device, so pick one device per room.
  • Use the quick words for diapers, potty and mood: three taps a child.
  • The note line is for one thing the family will want to hear: 'loved the leaf hunt'.

Questions

Where is the log kept?

Only in this browser, on this device. Nothing is sent to Peabody, so we can't lose it, read it, or be asked for it. Save it as a file to keep a copy or move it to another device.

Why no medicine line?

A medication record is your program's own form under your licensing rules. The day sheet says 'Medication: see our log'. Print a blank medication log from the slips page.

How do I send the day to a family?

Print it, or choose 'Save as PDF' in the print dialog and send the file yourself by text or email. Peabody never sends anything.

Nothing you type here is sent to us. The log lives in this browser only; a full name is refused and private details are cut from notes. No account, no ads.
