Ideas for class

  • Print a week of daily sheets on Monday and clip them to a board by the door with a pen on a string.
  • Keep a few blank rows at the bottom for a visiting child or a new start.
  • File the sheets the way your licensing agency asks: the sheet says where to look it up.

Questions

What does a sign-in sheet have to include?

Your state's child care licensing rules decide that, and how long to keep the sheets. This sheet has the fields most programs use: the child's name, the time in and out, and the grown-up's signature each way. Check your state's page before you rely on it.

Where is the roster kept?

In this browser only. It is never put in a link and never sent. The name-tag maker uses the same list.

Why first names?

A sheet by the door is read by every family who signs in. First names are enough to find your row.

Nothing you type here is sent to us. The roster is kept in this browser and is never in a link. No sign-in, no ads.
