How to use it

  1. Pick the age group.
  2. Change the times and what happens; add or remove a time.
  3. Print it for the wall, or print all four ages, one page each.

Ideas for class

  • Put pictures beside each time on the wall copy so pre-readers can follow it.
  • Keep the order the same every day, even when the times move.
  • Send families the same sheet so the day sounds the same at home.

Questions

What's a good schedule for toddlers?

Short blocks (15 to 45 minutes), meals and snacks about every two to three hours, outside play morning and afternoon, and one long nap after lunch. The toddler starter here follows that rhythm.

Do infants follow a schedule?

Babies eat and sleep when they need to, so an infant room's schedule is a rhythm of care and play, not a timetable. Each baby's own times go in the daily log.
