Quick answer

Homeschool Preschool's theme posts are our number one: each gathers book lists, crafts and printables with a sample Monday-to-Friday plan, and the worksheets print free without an account. Peabody Teach's own theme planner is second for a whole printed week with no account at all. This list is for preschool teachers and family child care providers planning a theme a week.

How we chose

We weighed these, most important first. The order is our judgement against them, not a score or a vote, and a different teacher could reasonably order it differently. Our own tool sits where those criteria put it; we built it after studying the others, so read its entry with that in mind.

  1. A whole week, not a list of names. Whether a theme comes with books, a song, a craft and a day-by-day plan, rather than just a theme name and a few links.
  2. What is really free. What prints without an account, an email or a membership, and where the free part stops.
  3. Ads and affiliate links. Whether the page sells while it helps: affiliate links, store links and sale banners. We say so where we saw them.
  4. Prints well. Whether the plan or the printables come out as clean pages on a home printer.

We took no money, free products or affiliate commissions for any place on this list, and no link here carries a tracking code. Every fact was read on the maker’s own page on October 30, 2026; prices carry that date because they change. See how we choose and the ad-free promise.

Questions

Are free preschool lesson plans really free?
Some are. Several sites here give a full theme free and sell bigger packs; others keep the plans behind a membership. Each entry says what we could print free on 30 October 2026.
Do I need a paid curriculum?
Not to run a theme week. A full curriculum like The Creative Curriculum adds a scope, assessment and materials, which a center may want; a family child care home can plan well from the free sites.
What should a preschool theme plan include?
Circle time, a few books, one craft, one song, a snack, a letter and something outside. Peabody's theme planner fills those seven in for 52 themes.
