How the plans work
- Seven days: Monday to Friday for the room, and Saturday and Sunday as ideas families can do at home. Print the page for the wall and a copy for the door.
- One idea a day: babies and toddlers need repetition more than variety. Do the day's idea once or twice and let the rest of the day be free play, care and cuddles.
- Songs are traditional rhymes with their words on each month's page; books come from the month's theme week, free to read on Peabody.
- Safety first: nothing in the plans is small enough to fit in a mouth, no food is played with, and water play always has a grown-up's hand on it.
For twos to fives, the curriculum lays the theme weeks out for the year.
