Days until spring break
A big spring break countdown for the projector. Type the first day off once and it counts the days for you; Share copies a link that opens the same countdown.
Pick a date below and the days to go appear here.
The link in your address bar carries this date, so Share opens the same countdown. School breaks differ by district, so type your own dates; the holiday buttons are worked out from their rules for the current year.
How to use it
- Choose the date of spring break in the Date box. The big number is the days from today to that date.
- Type a name such as "Spring break" if you want it to show on the screen.
- Press F to fill the screen. Press Share to copy a link that opens this same countdown on any computer; your browser also remembers it.
Ideas for class
- Type the first day of spring break and put the countdown on the board in March.
- Use it with a unit plan: finish the unit before the break and show the days left on the same screen.
- Ask students to write one goal to finish before the break and check it each Friday.
- Use the weekday count as the number of lessons left, minus any days off in your calendar.
- Make a bar chart of the days left each week and talk about how fast it is shrinking.
- Share the link in a class newsletter so students and families see the same number.

Questions
When is spring break?
Schools and districts set their own spring break dates, so this page does not guess. Type the date from your own school calendar.
Can I name the countdown?
Yes. The Name box accepts any label, such as 'Spring break' or 'Break begins'. The name shows on the big screen and is carried in the share link.
What if my break changes?
Type the new date in the Date box. The old date is replaced in this browser and in the link.
