How to use it

Ideas for class
- Put the countdown on the board and let a different student read it aloud each morning.
- Use it as a daily number talk: how many weeks and days is that, and how do you know?
- Chart the countdown on a paper chain, removing one link each school day, and compare it to the on-screen number on Mondays.
- Plan a writing project with a due date a week before the break and show the days left to that date.
- Make a class calendar for December and mark the number on each Friday.
