Questions
Is a 90 minute timer the same as a block period timer?
If your block is 90 minutes, yes: start it as class begins and put it in full screen. If your block is a different length, choose Custom and type your length, for example 85 or 1:25:00.
Will a 90 minute timer keep running if the computer goes to sleep?
The timer counts by the clock, not by ticks, so the time shown is right whenever you look. But if the computer sleeps the whole machine, nothing can play the chime. For a 90 minute block, turn off sleep in your computer's power settings, or keep the screen awake by leaving the page in full screen.
How do I change the 90 minute timer?
Press a preset button or choose Custom and type a length such as 7:30 or 90s. The page address updates to carry the new length, so you can bookmark it or share it. This page always opens at 90 minutes (an hour and a half).
Will the 90 minute timer keep the right time if the tab is in the background?
Yes. The countdown compares the clock when you pressed Start with the clock now, so it stays right when a tab sleeps. When it reaches zero it plays a short, soft chime (press M to turn the sound off) and the page title in the tab says the time is up.
