Questions

Will the 60 minute timer show hours?

Yes. A one-hour timer reads 1:00:00 and counts down to 0:00. The digits resize to fit the screen.

Is a 60 minute timer good for a test?

It works well as a visible clock for a test or a long task. Set it to 1 hour, press Start, and use full screen with the Quiet style if you do not want colours changing or a sound at the end. You can also pause it if the class is interrupted, and press Resume to continue from the same time.

How do I change the 60 minute timer?

Press a preset button or choose Custom and type a length such as 7:30 or 90s. The page address updates to carry the new length, so you can bookmark it or share it. This page always opens at 1 hour.

Will the 60 minute timer keep the right time if the tab is in the background?

Yes. The countdown compares the clock when you pressed Start with the clock now, so it stays right when a tab sleeps. When it reaches zero it plays a short, soft chime (press M to turn the sound off) and the page title in the tab says the time is up.
