To save a PDF, choose Print, then “Save as PDF” as the printer. Only the sheets print.

No labels yet, so the labels are blank: 1 sheet, 10 to a sheet.

How to use it

  1. Choose what you are labeling: cubbies, supply bins, book boxes or shelves. The menu shows each label’s size and how many fit on a page.
  2. Type one label a line. Put a bar after a label to add a smaller second line, such as “Markers | lids on” or “Level C | animals”.
  3. Set how many copies of each you need, pick a color, and add a few blank labels to write on later.
  4. Press Print. Choose “Save as PDF” in the print window to keep a copy for next year.

Ideas for class

  • Supply bins: label each tub with the item and a smaller line for the rule, like “Pencils | sharpened only”.
  • Classroom library: one label per book box with the genre or level on the second line, plus a matching color band.
  • Print three copies of each supply label so the bin, the shelf and the supply list all match.
  • Cubby and coat-hook labels from your class list; the list stays on your computer.
  • Label the places things go back to (turn-in tray, finished work, absent work) with the shelf strips.

Questions

Are my labels kept anywhere?

Only in your browser on this computer. They are never sent to us and never put in a share link. Student names on cubby labels are fine for the same reason.

Will these fit my sticker sheets?

The labels are laid out as a plain grid centered on the page, with each size listed in the menu. Check the measurements against your sheets and print one page on plain paper first. Adhesive sheets with their own spacing may not line up with a plain grid; printing on paper and using tape or a glue stick always works.

How many labels can I make?

Up to 120 in one go, across as many pages as that needs.

Can I put a picture on a label?

Not yet. The color band along the top is there to help young readers match a label to a bin. You can also add a sticker to the printed label.

What paper does it print on?

US Letter or A4. The grid is centered on the page, so it fits both.
