Addition: 20 problems a sheet, 3 versions that do not repeat each other where the numbers allow.

How to use it

  1. Pick a skill and the numbers it covers, such as Addition within 100 with regrouping. For a review, tick Mixed review and choose the skills to mix.
  2. Set how many problems, how many versions, stacked or on a line, and whether to print the key. The sheet on the right is the sheet that prints.
  3. Press Print sheet A and key, or Print all. Press New numbers for a fresh set. Share copies a link that rebuilds the same sheets and keys for a colleague.

Ideas for class

  • Print versions A, B and C for the same quiz so neighbors cannot copy. The three sheets practice the same skill with different numbers, and the key has all three.
  • Make a Monday warm-up on the skill from last week and a Friday sheet on this week's, with the same heading style so students know the routine.
  • Choose the times tables one at a time: set Multiplication facts, pick The 7s, and print a sheet for a student who only needs the sevens.
  • Use Never regroup for a first lesson on two-digit addition, then Always regroup the next day, then Some with, some without as the check.
  • Pick a Mixed review preset for homework so each night revisits several skills from earlier in the term.
  • Turn off the name line and print on the back of used paper for a quick whiteboard-style drill.
  • Print the key only for yourself: tick Answer key, print all, and pull the last page before you copy the set.

Questions

How do versions A, B and C differ?

They are three separate draws of problems for the same skill and number range. Where the skill has enough different problems, no problem appears on more than one sheet. Within a small range such as addition within 5 there are only a few dozen possible problems, so some repeat.

Will I get the same sheet again if I come back?

Yes, if you use the same settings. Every sheet is made from a sheet set number, and the same number with the same settings makes the same sheets and the same keys. Share copies a link with the number inside it, after the # sign, which our server never receives.

Are the answer keys checked?

Each answer is calculated by the same code that wrote the problem, and our tests recompute every skill's answers a second way and compare. Please still glance at the key before you grade a class set.

What does regrouping mean here?

Carrying in addition and borrowing in subtraction. Never regroup keeps every column simple, such as 43 + 25. Always regroup makes at least one column carry or borrow, such as 47 + 38. The choice appears for numbers within 20 and up.

Can I print on A4?

Yes. Choose A4 under Paper. The sheet is drawn to the paper size you choose, and it opens on A4 automatically on computers set to most countries outside North America.

Is anything saved or sent?

No student information is involved. Your settings are remembered on this computer only, so the maker opens the way you left it.

Nothing you do here is sent to us. Names, lists and settings stay in this browser. No sign-in, no ads.

What the maker covers

The maker has a skill for every strand from counting to equations: adding and subtracting within 5 up to six-digit numbers, doubles, ten more and ten less, skip counting, comparing and rounding, place value, multiplication and division facts, multi-digit multiplication and long division, fractions of shapes, equivalent fractions, the four operations with fractions and decimals, money, telling time, elapsed time, unit conversions, perimeter and area, order of operations, integers, equations, percent, ratios, and mean, median, mode and range.

Stacked or on a line

Whole-number and decimal operations can be stacked, the way students work them on paper, with room under the line for the answer. Division prints with a bracket. Fractions, word-style questions and clocks always print where they belong, so the Stacked button turns itself off for those skills.

Mixed review

Tick Mixed review to put up to six skills on one sheet. Start from a ready-made mix such as Third grade review, or choose your own skills and number ranges. The problems are shuffled so they do not arrive in blocks.
