How to use it
- Pick a length. Short ones (1 to 3 minutes) work best.
- Press Start. The car drives from the start towards the finish line.
- When the car crosses the line, the chime plays softly. Press Reset to run it again.
Ideas for class
- Use it for clean-up: can the class finish before the car reaches the line?
- Race the clock with a spelling or math fact game: how many can you answer before the car finishes?
- Challenge a group to beat their own best time on a puzzle or a build.
- Use it for a quick team game where each team gets one drive to score points.
- Time a line-up with the car, with the goal of being quiet at the door when it finishes.
- Let students predict: how far will the car be when we finish the page?

Questions
Does the car go faster at the end?
No. It moves at a steady pace so it shows true progress. At the end, the car reaches the line at exactly zero.
Is this suitable for younger students?
Yes. The car is a picture of time passing that does not need reading. Pair it with the digits for older students.
Can I make it quiet?
Press M to turn the chime off. The car still reaches the line. Use the Quiet style if you need a timer with no colour changes at all.
