Wyoming's Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB) issues the Classroom Substitute Teacher Permit for grades K-12. On the college path you need 60 semester hours or an associate degree. On the alternative path you need a high school diploma or GED, 24 hours of district training and 30 hours of classroom observation. Everyone passes the U.S. and Wyoming Constitution exams and a fingerprint background check.
