To save a PDF, choose Print, then “Save as PDF” as the printer. Only the sheets print.

Compare two things. What is only true of the first goes on the left, what is only true of the second on the right, and what is true of both in the middle.

How to use it

  1. Choose an organizer from the list. The note under the preview says what it is for.
  2. Change the headings and the hints in the boxes on the left to match your lesson: “Topic A” becomes “Frogs”, “What I Know” becomes your own prompt. Reset the wording to start over.
  3. Choose how many columns, rows or boxes you need, and switch the ruled lines and the name line on or off. Portrait or landscape is chosen to suit the organizer, and you can change it.
  4. Press Print, or choose “Save as PDF” in the print window to keep a copy.

Ideas for class

  • Venn diagram before a writing task: students compare two characters, two animals or two historical events, then turn the circles into paragraphs.
  • KWL on the first day of a unit and again on the last, so students see what changed.
  • Frayer model for the five hardest vocabulary words in a text: one sheet per word.
  • Story map after a read-aloud, with the number of events set to match the story.
  • Cause and effect chart for a science demonstration, filled in together on the projector and then again in pairs.
  • Sequence chart with the labels changed to the steps of an experiment, a recipe or a routine.

Questions

Can I change the words on the organizer?

Yes. Every heading and every hint is a box you can type in, and the sheet updates as you type. “Reset the wording” puts the standard words back.

What is a Frayer model?

A four-box chart around one word. Students write a definition in their own words, some characteristics, examples and non-examples. It helps with vocabulary that students need to understand deeply, not just recognize.

What is a KWL chart?

A three-column chart: what students Know before a unit, what they Want to know, and what they Learned afterward. A fourth column can ask how they could find out more.

Do the organizers print in black and white?

Yes. They are drawn with plain black lines on white paper, with no filled areas, so they print cleanly and use very little ink.

Is anything I type saved on your side?

No. The wording stays in your browser. A share link carries your headings after the # in the address, and no server ever sees it.

Nothing you do here is sent to us. Names, lists and settings stay in this browser. No sign-in, no ads.
