Questions
How do I keep a 30 minute timer visible for the class?
Use full screen so the digits fill the board. Choose the Bar or Clock style if you want students to see the time as a picture, not just numbers.
How do I keep a 30 minute timer on the screen for a whole block?
Press F to fill the screen and the controls fade away until you move the mouse. The timer keeps time by the clock, so it stays correct even if the screen dims or the tab is in the background. For a 30 minute block with stations, set it once and press R to start the next rotation from the top.
How do I change the 30 minute timer?
Press a preset button or choose Custom and type a length such as 7:30 or 90s. The page address updates to carry the new length, so you can bookmark it or share it. This page always opens at 30 minutes.
Will the 30 minute timer keep the right time if the tab is in the background?
Yes. The countdown compares the clock when you pressed Start with the clock now, so it stays right when a tab sleeps. When it reaches zero it plays a short, soft chime (press M to turn the sound off) and the page title in the tab says the time is up.
