Free task cards in a minute: math facts, word meanings, a reading passage’s questions or your own list, as numbered cards with three answer choices, 4 or 8 to a page, with a recording sheet and an answer key. Or put the same deck on a class device as a self-check, one card at a time. No sign-up, no student accounts.

How to use it

  1. Pick the grade, then where the questions come from: the bank, a passage, or your own list (a question, a colon, the answer).
  2. Choose how many cards and 4 or 8 to a page.
  3. Print the cards, the recording sheet and the key, cut the cards apart, and set them out at a center.
  4. Or press Self-check: students answer one card at a time and see at once if they are right. Nothing is saved; reloading starts over.

Ideas for class

  • Scoot: put one card on each desk and have students move one seat on a signal, writing answers on the recording sheet.
  • Make two decks from the same part with New cards, one for practice and one for a quick check.
  • Use the self-check at a single classroom computer as a center that marks itself.
  • Paste this week’s spelling or vocabulary as a list and print a center in a minute.

Questions

What are task cards?

Small cards with one question each, used at centers, for Scoot games or as early-finisher work. Students record answers on a sheet by card number.

Do students need accounts for the self-check?

No. The self-check runs in the browser with no name, no score saved and nothing sent. It shows right or wrong at once and lets a student try again.

Is anything saved on a server?

No. Settings and a pasted list stay in this browser and in the link after the # sign. Pressing Print notes that cards were printed, and nothing else.

Nothing you type is sent to us, and the self-check saves nothing. Settings stay in this browser; a link carries them after the #. Pressing Print notes that cards were printed, and nothing else. No sign-in, no ads, no AI.
