No-prep activities, by minutes left

Nothing fits all of that. Try fewer room rules, or a few more minutes.

How to use it

  1. Pick the grade and the minutes left.
  2. Tick what the room needs: quiet (a test next door), no paper, no screen, or a wild class that should stay seated.
  3. Choose one of the three. Press Another three if none fits.

Ideas for class

  • Keep the page open on your phone all day: it remembers your grade and the room.
  • Pick a calm one for the last ten minutes before dismissal, and a moving one after a long block of sitting.
  • An activity can always be cut short; none of them needs to be finished.

Questions

Where do the activities come from?

They are written for Peabody Teach: twenty-five from our list of sub-day activities and thirty-nine more written for subs. None needs a branded product or anything from home.

What does “wild class” do?

It leaves out every activity that has students out of their seats, so the room settles instead of winding up.
