How we chose

We weighed these, most important first. The order is our judgement against them, not a score or a vote, and a different teacher could reasonably order it differently.

  1. Free without paying. The main math offer must cost a teacher or parent nothing; freemium counts only with a real free tier we can describe.
  2. Teaches math, not only drill. Lessons, models and problem solving rank above pure speed practice.
  3. Grade range and fit. A site that serves several grades or covers kindergarten to 8th grade ranks above a narrow one.
  4. Easy for a teacher or parent to start. One account, and children on it in the first lesson.
  5. Ads and cost creep. Ads in the free version and upgrade pressure count against a site.

We took no money, free products or affiliate commissions for any place on this list, and no link here carries a tracking code. Every fact was read on the maker’s own page on October 27, 2026; prices carry that date because they change. See how we choose and the ad-free promise.
