Our room

This week: apples

One week on apples for twos to fours: what grows on a tree, what is inside, and how many seeds we find.

Our letter is A: A is for apple.

Our song is “Oranges and Lemons”. The words are below, so you can sing it at home.

Our books: Meg and the Seed, Jen and the Jam, A Bun for Fran, Johnny Appleseed. The ones marked free can be read at peabody.kids, no sign-in.

Oranges and Lemons

Oranges and lemons, Say the bells of St. Clement's. You owe me five farthings, Say the bells of St. Martin's. When will you pay me? Say the bells of Old Bailey. When I grow rich, Say the bells of Shoreditch. When will that be? Say the bells of Stepney. I do not know, Says the great bell of Bow. Here comes a candle to light you to bed, And here comes a chopper to chop off your head!

Traditional; public domain.
