Thirty-six Christmas words, from reindeer and candy canes to the nativity, on unique printable cards. Make a class set in a minute or call it on the projector at the party.
36 items · a 5 × 5 card with a free space needs 24 or more. More items make the cards differ. For review bingo, type answer | clue (“56 | 7 × 8”): the card shows the answer, the caller reads the clue. Two columns pasted from a spreadsheet work too. Start a line with an emoji (“🐶 dog”) for a picture square.

30 different cards. No two are the same. The card number and set number on every card let the caller check a winner (press C while calling).
About this set
The list mixes the two sides of a classroom Christmas: the playful (Santa Claus, reindeer, elves, gingerbread, tinsel, wrapping paper) and the traditional (the nativity, Bethlehem, carols, angels, candles, the star). Every word is a noun or a name children already hear in December, so the game goes quickly even with the youngest readers. Teachers who want a secular party can delete the nativity words in the box and keep the rest, since the cards are made from whatever list is in the box, and teachers who want a longer game can add the names of their own class traditions.
Grades: Pre-K to 5th grade. Best in: December.

How to play, and five ideas
Class party: give each student a card and a cup of candy corn or paper squares as markers, and let the winner call the next round.
Sing it: pause the game after “carols” or “jingle bells” and sing a verse before calling the next word.
Read-aloud match: call a word only after reading a sentence from a Christmas book that contains it, and have students listen for the word.
Secular version: delete the words you do not want (nativity, Bethlehem, angel) from the list. The cards update at once.
Spelling bingo: make 4 × 4 cards from the 16 words your class is learning, call each one aloud, and have students spell it before covering it.
Yes. The words are just text in the box on this page. Delete any line, press Make another, and the cards are rebuilt without it.
How many cards can I print?
Up to 36 different cards at a time, one to a page, two to a page (cut in half) or four to a page (cut in quarters).
Can I change the words?
Yes. The 36 words are in the box above the cards. Delete, add or edit any line and the cards are rebuilt at once. Nothing is saved on our servers.
How do I call the game?
Press “Call the game”. Each press of the space bar tumbles the ball cage and pops out the next item in very large type, with the list of items already called beside it. Press C and type a card number to check a winner, P to change the win pattern, V to have each call read aloud, and F to fill the projector.
How do I save the cards as a PDF?
Press Print and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer. Each page can also be saved as a PNG picture from under its preview.
