How do I get a rubric into Google Docs or Word?
Copy it as a table, not as a picture. On any premade rubric page, press "Copy for Google Docs" under the grade band you want, then paste into a document: it lands as a table with borders that you can edit. The rubric maker has the same button, called "Copy as a table".

Both buttons put two copies on your clipboard at once. A document such as Google Docs or Word takes the formatted table, with a heading and borders. A spreadsheet takes the plain version, one cell per box, so the rubric pastes into rows and columns.
The copy includes the criteria, the level names with their points, every description and, if the rubric is scored, a score column and the total. A single-point rubric copies as three columns: areas for growth, the criteria, and evidence of going beyond.
If you want to change wording before you paste, open the rubric in the maker first. Your changes stay in your browser, and "Copy as a table" copies the version you edited.
